ANIIMO Training & Progression Guide

Direct answer

ANIIMO progression is a set of separate systems rather than one upgrade track. Use levels for immediate development, inspect Potential and Personality, advance Resonance through Star Up, equip and enhance Held Items deliberately, and follow each target's Evolution criteria; the live screens remain the authority for exact costs and gates.

Key information
  • Level, Resonance, Potential, Personality, Held Items and Evolution are related progression layers, but they do not share one universal formula.
  • Star Up and Capability Awakening appear as separate Training paths with different evidence, limits and materials.
  • Capafruit improves Innate Potential once per Aniimo, while Capability Awakening develops Acquired Potential.
  • Eggs and hatching can establish an Aniimo's starting Potential outcome before later investment.

How Training and Progression Fit Together

ANIIMO does not reduce character growth to one upgrade button. An Aniimo can have a level, Potential profile, Personality, Resonance progress, Held Items and an Evolution relationship, while eggs and Inheritance affect how you acquire or move some of that development. Each layer answers a different question.

Keep those layers separate. A higher level is not higher Potential, Star Up is not Evolution, and Personality bonuses are not Held Item effects.

This page is a map of the verified systems. Follow its links when you need exact screen wording, worked examples or evidence boundaries. It intentionally does not merge the linked guides into a made-up total power formula.

Leveling: the Immediate Development Layer

Level is the most visible short-term progression signal. It appears on Aniimo profiles, party rows and multiple upgrade screens. Some later actions can be level-gated: the verified Resonance examples include a step requiring level 35, and one Evolution target requires level 29.

Those examples prove that level can unlock specific progression steps. They do not establish one evolution level, one Star Up schedule or a universal cost curve. Read the requirement on the currently selected Aniimo and action.

Bring the Aniimo you actively use toward the requirements blocking your next verified goal. Level alone does not outweigh skills, role fit and other development.

Potential: Innate and Acquired Growth

Potential is split across six categories: HP, ATK, P.DEF, REGEN, M.DEF and BREAK. The live panel tracks Innate Potential and Acquired Potential separately for each category. These Potential values are not the same numbers as the final combat-facing attributes shown elsewhere.

Innate Potential represents the already-present side of the profile. Capafruit adds +1 Innate Potential to all six categories at once, and each Aniimo can consume only one. Capability Awakening is associated with the Acquired side, with caps that official guidance says unlock gradually with level and Resonance star rank.

The Potential & Capability Awakening guide documents the displayed Potential Limit 20, Capafruit behavior, rating boundaries and the confirmed reset rule for Aniimo below Lv.60. It does not invent rating thresholds or a conversion from Potential points to final attributes.

Personality: a Separate Bonus Layer

Personality provides documented combat and Homeland bonuses. It is distinct from Potential even though both are visible on an Aniimo’s profile and both can influence planning.

The verified combat personalities grant specific percentage effects, while their Homeland counterparts improve work efficiency at named facilities. Psyche Fruit changes an eligible Aniimo’s Personality randomly and costs 100 Glimmer in the verified Shop screen. Some personalities are fixed and cannot be changed.

Use the Personality guide to check the exact eight personality labels, their documented bonuses and the random-reroll boundary. Do not describe Psyche Fruit as a Potential material or promise a chosen result.

Resonance, Star Up and Ascend

Resonance is presented through the Star Up tab in Training. Verified Cozite screens show that a step can have a level gate, a material cost and listed attribute gains. A higher-level example uses an Ascend action inside the same tab.

The examples also show why one global table would be misleading. One step grants flat ATK and BREAK, while later steps grant percentage bonuses. Later Cozite costs include both Breezy Plains Dewdrop Crystal, labeled Resonance Material, and Loam Stone, labeled Evolution Material.

The Resonance & Star Up guide preserves those worked examples without turning them into a universal formula. Always inspect the current step for its exact action label, requirement, cost and reward.

Held Items: Equipment and Enhancement

Held Items are equipment rather than an intrinsic Potential or Resonance category. An item can display a base stat, Core Effect and Advanced Effect. The verified Gargantuan Horn example focuses on BREAK, but that does not make it the right item for every Aniimo.

Enhancement can consume dedicated Held Item Cores or other Held Items. The current evidence does not establish universal experience values, efficiency ratios, refund behavior or the final endgame rarity ceiling. Review material selections carefully, especially when using Auto Select.

The Held Items guide explains how to read an item and documents the verified Basic and Common Held Item Core sources. It deliberately contains no unsupported tier list.

Evolution: Target-Specific Criteria

Evolution connects separate canonical ANIIMO identities. Forms, by contrast, remain variants nested under one identity. The relationship index can show where an Aniimo sits in a family, but the live target panel is the source for gameplay criteria.

One verified Wisptis target combines level 29, three same-form defeats in succession, a location requirement and a visible material cost. That is a worked example, not a universal recipe. Other targets or branches may differ.

Use the Evolution guide for the explanatory process and the evolutions index for relationship data. Check the exact target, form, stage and every criterion before spending materials.

Eggs and Hatching: Starting Outcomes

Eggs affect the starting point before ordinary training. The egg’s own text states its guarantee and allowed Hatchinator locations, while a selected twining item can change the guaranteed hatch outcome. The verified examples include an Aniipod Ultra minimum Potential guarantee and a Sparkling Cube Perfect-and-Sparkling guarantee.

Those are item-specific guarantees, not a complete hatch formula. The Eggs & Hatching guide documents the visible items and explicitly leaves uncaptured Aniipod effects unknown.

Inheritance: Moving Developed Progress

Inheritance transfers supported development from a fully developed Aniimo to a less developed one. The live tooltip explicitly names EXP, level, Resonance stage and Star Rank, Capability Awakening and Capafruit, and says surplus growth items are returned in full.

Because the tooltip also says “and more” without naming every extra field, do not assume that all systems transfer. The verified example also shows a 20,000-coin confirmation cost, but not a universal pricing rule.

Read the Inheritance guide before confirming. The source and recipient direction matters, and the comparison screen is the correct place to audit the selected pair.

Short-Term vs Long-Term Progression

Short-term decisions help solve the next concrete blocker. Examples include reaching a displayed level requirement, equipping an item whose visible effect fits a current role, or building a functional four-member party. These choices should be based on the screen or encounter immediately in front of you.

Long-term decisions commit scarcer or one-time resources. Capafruit can be used only once per Aniimo. Psyche Fruit rerolls randomly. Held Item enhancement consumes selected materials. Evolution and Inheritance have their own criteria or costs. These actions deserve a second review because the repository does not claim universal refund behavior.

A useful distinction is reversibility. Capability Awakening below Lv.60 has an official reset statement with training items returned; that boundary does not automatically apply elsewhere.

A Conservative New-Player Progression Order

There is no verified best order for every account, but a conservative workflow reduces wasted investment:

  1. Build a usable party. Choose four members whose documented roles and skills cover the content you are playing.
  2. Meet visible level gates. Level active members toward the requirement currently blocking an action, not toward an invented universal breakpoint.
  3. Inspect before spending. Check each member’s Potential, Personality and existing Held Items so you know its starting state.
  4. Use ordinary, clearly understood upgrades. Equip suitable items and complete a Star Up step only after reading its cost and reward.
  5. Delay uncertain consumptive choices. Keep unfamiliar Held Items and scarce materials until their use is clear.
  6. Plan target-specific milestones. Read the desired Evolution panel rather than farming a generic checklist.
  7. Use Inheritance deliberately. Transfer development only after confirming the direction, supported progress and live price.

This order is risk-management advice, not a claim about maximum damage or fastest completion.

How to Decide What to Upgrade Next

Start with the problem you can observe. If a member cannot access a displayed step, meet that requirement. If a party fails to survive, inspect documented defensive, recovery and support options. If damage or BREAK is lacking, compare relevant skills, attributes and item effects. If nothing is blocking progress, save materials until a clear use appears.

Avoid upgrading merely because a red dot, high rarity color or available button exists. Availability is not proof of priority. A small, targeted investment in the party you actively use is easier to evaluate than spreading resources across every visible system at once.

Common Training and Progression Mistakes

  • Treating every system as if it contributes through one hidden formula.
  • Applying a Cozite Star Up cost or Wisptis Evolution requirement to every Aniimo.
  • Confusing Potential values with final combat attributes.
  • Calling Psyche Fruit a selectable Personality change.
  • Enhancing unfamiliar Held Items without reviewing consumed materials.
  • Assuming a visible rarity filter defines the endgame ceiling.
  • Treating a form as a separate evolution identity.
  • Assuming all investments inherit because the tooltip says “and more.”

ANIIMO Training & Progression FAQ

Where should a new player start?

Build a functional four-member party, meet visible level gates and inspect each active member before committing scarce or one-time materials.

Is Star Up the same as Evolution?

No. Star Up is a Resonance training path; Evolution connects separate canonical identities and uses target-specific criteria.

Is Potential the same as final stats?

No. The client shows Potential values separately from combat-facing attributes, and no universal conversion formula is established.

Can Capafruit be used repeatedly?

No. The verified item text says each Aniimo can consume only one.

Should I enhance every Held Item?

No universal rule supports that. Match visible effects to a member you use and review the materials that will be consumed.

Can training investment be moved?

Inheritance explicitly transfers several named development categories from a developed source to a less developed recipient. Check the dedicated guide and live comparison before confirming.

What is the best upgrade order?

No fixed best order is verified. Prioritize the requirement or weakness you can see, preserve uncertain resources and use the linked system guides for exact evidence.

Tips & warnings

  • This overview does not publish universal leveling costs, optimal stopping points or a best upgrade order for every account.
  • Do not transfer numbers from one Aniimo, item or progression step to another unless the live screen confirms them.
  • Check irreversible or consumptive actions, including material use and Held Item enhancement, before confirming.
