How to Catch ANIIMO

Quick answer

Catch chance starts with an area-and-stage base value, then uses only the multipliers allowed by the encounter context. Outside battle uses Level and Backstab; in battle uses Level and HP; Alpha ANIIMO use only their Alpha base chance and Aniipod multiplier.

Level gap ≤10 = ×1 No penalty
Backstab ×1.5 Outside battle
In-battle HP 0% = ×2 HP factor only
Alpha 6% base Separate formula
Aniipod Pro ×1.5 Official multiplier

Catch Chance at a Glance

Choose the formula that matches the encounter before comparing multipliers. Outside-battle catches can use Backstab but not HP. In-battle catches can use HP but not Backstab. Alpha ANIIMO have their own shorter formula.

How Base is calculated ANIIMO Base(1 + Pathfinder Catch Bonus)Base

Pathfinder Catch Bonus comes from Branches or Regional Badges.

The base value is not one universal number: it comes from an official area group and evolution stage, then includes any Pathfinder Catch Bonus supplied by Branches or Regional Badges.

Base Catch Chance

The official matrix groups areas by progression and separates Lumin, Gamma, and Nova stages. These values are percentages before applicable multipliers. The source does not map individual ANIIMO to a particular area row, so this table must not be used to publish per-ANIIMO rates without separate evidence.

How Level Difference Changes Catch Chance

Level difference means ANIIMO Level minus Pathfinder Level. A difference of 10 or less stays at ×1. Penalties begin when the ANIIMO is 11 levels higher and reach ×0.1 at a difference of 15 or more. The official table does not provide a bonus for a higher-level Pathfinder.

1212 levels higher×0.6

Aniipods and Catch Multipliers

Most Aniipods apply a numeric multiplier. Tumbler reaches its larger multiplier only for ANIIMO gathered by Nurture. Items that guarantee success are shown as a separate outcome state instead of being converted into an invented numeric value.

Does Lower HP Increase Catch Chance?

Yes, but only during battle. The official HP table ranges from ×0.8 at 100% HP to ×2 at 0% HP. HP is not part of the outside-battle formula and is not part of the Alpha ANIIMO formula.

Does Backstab Increase Catch Chance?

×1.5

Yes. A valid Backstab applies this multiplier outside battle. It does not combine with Tumblers and is not part of the in-battle or Alpha formula.

How Status Effects Fit Into the Formula

ANIIMO Status is part of the standard outside-battle and in-battle formulas. When multiple statuses are active, the official rule selects the lowest multiplier if any debuff is present; otherwise it selects the highest multiplier.

No numerical status table is published here. The official English page explains the selection rule but does not provide exact values.

Separate formula

Alpha ANIIMO Catch Chance

6% base

Alpha ANIIMO use Alpha Base Catch Chance × Aniipod Multiplier. Do not add Level, HP, Backstab, or Status unless the official formula changes.

Why Is My Catch Chance Low?

  • Check that you selected the correct encounter formula.
  • A higher-level ANIIMO can reduce the result sharply once the difference reaches 11 levels.
  • Full HP applies a penalty in battle; lower HP improves only the in-battle formula.
  • A later area group or later evolution stage can start from a lower base value.
  • A basic Aniipod has no additional multiplier, while stronger documented tools can raise the result.
  • Certain story encounters can force success or failure, so the displayed calculation may not control the final outcome.

What ANIIMO Central Has Not Verified

  • The official page does not map individual ANIIMO to a base-chance area row.
  • Stage alone is insufficient to calculate a per-ANIIMO catch rate.
  • The current official English page does not publish exact numerical status multipliers.
  • The Alpha formula does not include Level, HP, Backstab, or Status multipliers.

This V1 guide does not estimate individual ANIIMO rates, assign a base row from habitat data, or infer hidden status values. It also does not provide a calculator, tier list, farming route, or encounter map.
